Technically advanced trekking trousers with Curved Fit in stretch fabric and hard-wearing G-1000 Eco. Ventilation zips, spacious pockets and strap adjustments at the bottom.
Made in durable G-1000 Eco and stretch fabric and perfect for trekking and alpine adventures, all year round. Keb is a series of technical outdoor garments that have been developed for demanding treks where freedom of movement is just as important as durability and protection from difficult terrain. The fit has been carefully worked out in detail and the seams have been placed to reduce the risk of chafing.
Technically advanced trekking trousers with optimised fit and carefully planned details. Intended for alpine trekking that requires climbing - where mobility is just as important as durability and protection from sharp stones, etc. The rear and knees are pre-shaped and have extra strong seams for this reason. And that is also why the trousers have durable G-1000® Eco on the rear, front of the legs, the knees and on the inside bottom of the legs, which is also reinforced with a double layer of fabric to withstand wear from hiking boots. The seam on the inside of the thigh has been moved and replaced by a connecting fabric panel to reduce the risk of chafing and wear. A zipped ventilation opening from knee to hip and along the calf releases excess heat. Two leg pockets with pocket cover flap, one with a zip and one with a mesh pocket inside for bits and bobs. High hand pockets hold their contents even when sitting down. Strap adjustment with button fastening at trouser end plus hook to secure to ski boot or hiking boot.

Hardwearing, Ventilating, Customisable weather protection with Greenland Wax
G-1000 is Fjallraven's cornerstone material. They use it in everything from backpacks to jackets and trousers. Its a densely woven fabric made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton and, by using Greenland Wax, its adaptable to a whole variety of different climactic conditions. So with the right care, itll last for ages and join you on all kinds of adventures.
As part of a commitment to using more recycled and organic materials, there are now Eco versions of all G-1000 fabrics, made from recycled polyester and organic cotton.
G-1000 is a tough material and the tight weave (except G-1000 Air) makes it naturally pretty wind-resistant. By adding Greenland Wax, made from a mixture of beeswax and paraffin, you can increase this wind resistance, make the fabric even more durable and add water resistance. By removing it, you can make it lighter and airier.
Note that Greenland Wax offers water-resistance, not waterproofness.
Most G-1000 garments come pre-waxed; but after a few washes and with regular use the wax will need a top up. And if you know youre going somewhere thats likely to be wet and windy, then you can plan ahead and add an extra layer of Greenland Wax. Areas more exposed to the elements like the knees, rear and lower parts of trousers, or the front, hood and back hem of jackets can benefit from some extra wax.
Note that it is only G-1000 that can be waxed.
