The winner of our Anniversary Grand Prize draw is Sally the bear AKA David Warden with this lovely story and photos below. David wins a £100 George Fisher gift voucher.
My favourite shop in the best place on Earth, so many memories since my first visit back in the eaarly seventies. My best purchase in the shop was my GPS which was beautifully sold and you have supported my questions and queries in store and online. Still love going to the pitch and putt, the views from Friars Cragg and Walla Crag are ingrained in my soul and the picture (right) is from my latest walk up Cat Bells. Happy 60th Anniversary George Fisher.
Sally the bear after visiting the iconic Ashness Bridge (below) on her way back to Walla Crag on her taxi's birthday walk. Ended with quick visit to George Fishers (nothing bought this time) and then drink outside the Dog and Gun. Great day and one of favourite walks around Keswick.
Sally the bear with my wife Syl and our friend Jean (below). Whenever we have overseas visitors we always bring them to Keswick, this time we rented a cottage in Keswick for the week with our German and Canadian friends. I remember Jean being like a kid in a sweet shop when visiting George Fishers buying socks for everybody. A great week.
Dont often go to this end of Derwentwater but as always the views are awesome, and what a surprise it was windy. I would have to dig out my polaroids for one of my earlierst memories of Keswick, going on the pitch and putt, such good fun. Keswick trip coming up so may swap a fell for Hope Park.
Vicky wins our fourth and final George Fisher 60th Anniversary Goody Bag.
