It's the weekend! For our 16th Fisher's Favourite, we have Julie Summers.
Julie is an author, historian, and broadcaster, whose most recent high profile work is the book Jambusters, which inspired the ITV drama Home Fires. Julie loves history, mountaineering, and rowing, and amongst her other ten books is "Fearless on Everest - The quest for Sandy Irvine", and "The Shackleton Voyages" a pictorial anthology of Ernest Shackleton.
A keen walker, Julie often visits the Lake District from her Oxford home with her husband and two border terriers.
"I bought this gorgeous wine coloured fleece in George Fisher in 2002. The photograph was taken the following year when I was climbing with my family on Blencathra, one of my favourite excursions in the Lakes with views over Derwentwater and Keswick. With binoculars you could perhaps see the tower above the shop! The fleece still does good service."
We'd love to hear your stories too!
